Your next chapter starts with a clear plan.

1. Your goals

• List what works in your current space and what needs to change.
• Separate must-haves from nice-to-haves.
• Think about who uses the room and how their needs may change.

2. Your space

• Bring photos and any existing floor plans.
• Note storage, access, light and layout issues.
• Consider which rooms and essential facilities you will need during the work.

3. Your budget

• Set a comfortable budget range.
• Consider materials, fixtures, appliances and the extent of the work.
• Ask what the quote includes and how variations are handled.

4. Your style

• Collect a few inspiration images.
• Note the materials, colours and details you like.
• Discuss practical care, cleaning and maintenance.

5. Your questions

• Ask about the scope, timing, trade coordination and site access.
• Confirm the payment arrangements, offer eligibility and warranty in writing.
• Discuss the next steps before you make any commitments.
